    As one of the most common types of relays, timer relay plays a very important role in the electrical control system. The principle is to complete the control of the line by keeping the input signal for a certain period of time-that is, "delay effect", and then continue to execute the command of the input model. When choosing a timer relay, the most important factors to consider are the delay range, delay type, delay accuracy and working conditions. For sure, some basic factors will not be ignored, such as the selection of rated operating voltage and rated operating current.

Normally, a relay is specified with several rated working voltages, and the corresponding rated working current needs to be listed at the same time (the control power can also be listed). This also determines the entire process of the time relay. Afterwards, it goes to the choice of usage category, such as AC or DC. The precautions for the on-off of the coil must also be considered. In the end, there are some specific usage conditions, such as the surrounding environment, temperature, pollution level, altitude, vibration and other factors. It’s very complicated.     For electromagnetic damping and air damping time relays, the coil current type and voltage level should be the same as the control circuit. For electric and electronic time relays, the current type and voltage level of the power supply should be the same as the control circuit. It is necessary to choose the power-on delay type or the power-off delay type and the contact delay type (whether delayed closing or delay opening) and quantity according to the requirements of the control circuit.
