    What is a Pneumatic Globe Valve?

    Pneumatic globe valve is a common industrial valve used to control the flow and stop of fluid. It adopts pneumatic device to drive the switch of the valve, which is fast and reliable. Pneumatic globe valve is widely used in petroleum, chemical, electric power, metallurgy, paper making and other industrial fields.

    The main structure of pneumatic globe valve consists of valve body, valve cover, valve flap and valve stem. Valve body is the main part of the valve, used to withstand and conduct the pressure of the medium; valve cover is used to fix the valve flap and stem; valve flap is the key component to control the flow of the medium, through the lifting and lowering of the valve stem to achieve the switching action.

    How Does a Globe Valve Work?

    Most of the valves using compressed air as a power source are remote controlled, manually or automatically triggered by the main control room action instructions, so that the inlet and exhaust solenoid valve action to the actuator for the supply and discharge of compressed air. Compressed air acts on the piston or diaphragm, to overcome the friction of the valve action and the spring force on the valve stem, so as to press down (for the loss of air to open the valve) or lift up (for the loss of air to close the valve) valve stem, driven by the spool of the valve up and down, so that the valve is open or closed.

    When the valve is out of air and there is no compressed air in the drive head, the valve will be in the fully open or fully closed safety position according to the requirements of the system.
