    Portable Oxygen (O2) Gas Detector

    Tips: How to Choose the Measuring Range of Oxygen Gas Detector?

    Oxygen concentration in the air is 20.9%VOL. Checking whether the oxygen content is up to the standard or not, we generally select an oxygen (O2) detector with a range of 0~20%VOL or 0~30%VOL. Such a measuring range can meet most demands, and it’s also the most common range. ATO portable oxygen detector is avaliable for 0 to measuring range of 30% Vol to meet the most common requirements.

    In some cases, the oxygen concentration will also be tested, such as testing the purity of oxygen in oxygen bottle, then an oxygen detector with a range of 0~100%VOL is chosen. The precision can be customized, which is generally 0.1%VOL and 0.01%VOL. As for the special case that oxygen concentration is far below the normal value, such as the anaerobic incubator and smoke, the oxygen concentration is quite low, thus a range of 0~5%VOL is generally selected.

    Basic Settings of Portable Gas Detector

    This video will show you the basic settings of ATO portable gas detectors including high/low alarm setting, language setting and time setting.

    Calibration of Portable Gas Detector

    This video will show how to calibrate the ATO portable gas detectors.

    Concentration Detection of Pesticides Gas
    Methyl bromide is an organic compound with the chemical formula CH3Br, which is mainly used as a pesticide, fumigant, refrigerant and solvent, and can also be used in organic synthesis.This video will mainly use methyl bromide and CH3Br as examples to introduce the detection of their concentrations.

    How to Detect Hydrogen Sulfide Concentration in the Toilet
    Hydrogen sulfide is a flammable acidic gas that smells like rotten eggs at low concentrations and is very toxic. In actual operation, it is necessary to ensure that the detection equipment or method used can accurately measure the concentration of hydrogen sulfide, and pay attention to safety issues during operation to avoid hydrogen sulfide poisoning.

    How much C2H4 (ethylene) do ripe bananas and apples produce?
    We have various gas detectors such as: CO, O2, O3, H2, NH3, H2S, CH4, Cl2, CH2O, etc, from 0~10000ppm, Industrial or daily use.

    Would your sensor be suitable for this kind of setup?
    As suggested on https://www.ato.com/fixed-oxygen-o2-gas-detector, I’m emailing to request information on using this sensor in a pressure chamber working at about 1.2 bars. The chamber will have a heated mould and a constant 170 liter/h N2 supply, and we intend to measure the remaining oxygen concentration.

    One option would be to connect the sensor directly to the box, but as the temperature inside is well over the working temperature specified, we were thinking to let the overflow run via a cooling system and measure the O2 concentration of the outgoing gas mixture at the end of this line.

    Would your sensor be suitable for this kind of setup, or do you have a suggestion on how to implement the sensor some other way?

    Thanks in advance for the information!

    We also need to confirm the following information:
    1. Pressure: Our instrument is 1bar±10%, but your pressure chamber working at about 1.2 bars, can you lower the pressure a little;
    2. Temperature: The operating temperature range of our instruments is -20°C~50°C;
    3. Humidity: best controlled below 60%RH;
    4. Flow rate: 2.8L/min is a bit high, can you please reduce it to 1.5L/min;
    5. What is the approximate oxygen concentration you need to detect? Our oxygen detector has a range of 0-25%VOL and a resolution of 0.01%VOL. If it is to measure trace oxygen at PPM level, our products can Not detect it.
    Satisfied with this oxygen gas detector
    I have been using this portable oxygen gas detector for three months. During this period of time, the oxygen gas detector has been working very well, and my colleagues are very satisfied with it.

    We are looking for a gas leak detector for O2, N2 and CO2.
    We are looking for a gas leak detector for O2, N2 and CO2. It is used for detecting leaks from piping in the incubators. Do you have any compatible products?

    Our gas detector can only measure O2 and CO2 at the same time, but cannot measure N2 and O2 at the same time, so you need to purchase a N2 gas detector separately.
