Application

Tips: MEMS inclinometer sensor voltage output and angle calculation formula
Inclination angle= Sensitivity *(Vout - Voffset)
The current inclination angle
Vout: Sensor output voltage value, unit V
Voffset: Voltage output from the sensor at zero position (usually 2.5V).
Sensitivity: Sensor sensitivity: Inclinometer sensor sensitivity is the ratio of the corresponding voltage change when the sensor tilt angle changes, e.g. if the sensor range is ±90° and the corresponding voltage change is 0-5V, then the sensor sensitivity is 36.
- 90-(-90)= sensitivity* (5-0)
If the current output voltage is 3.75V, the corresponding inclination is 45 degrees.
For example, if the range of the sensor is ±30°, and the corresponding voltage change is 0-5V, then the sensor sensitivity is 12.
- 30-(-30)= sensitivity* (5-0)
If the current output voltage is 3.75V, the corresponding tilt angle is 15 degrees.
Therefore, the sensitivity of the inclinometer sensor corresponds to the range.
