How to Repair a UPS Inverter?
The ups inverters can seem complex and unbearable, especially if you are not an electrician. However, with some general guidelines, it is easy to understand the most important differences between inverters and why one ups inverter may better meet your needs than another. With the use of time, ups inverter will appear a variety of problems. This article will introduce ups inverter problems appear in daily life.
The ups output is normal when there is mains power, but the buzzer keeps ringing and there is no output when there is no mains power. The possible cause is that the battery or ups inverter is partially faulty.
Check the battery voltage, check whether the battery is insufficient charging, if the battery is insufficient charging, it is necessary to check the fault of the power inverter battery itself or charging circuit fault.
- If the battery working voltage is normal, should check whether the inverter drive circuit works normally, if the drive circuit output is normal, it indicates that the uninterruptible power supply inverter is damaged.
- If the inverter drive circuit does not work normally, check whether the waveform generation circuit has PWM control signal output, if there is control signal output, indicating that the fault is in the ups inverter drive circuit itself.
- If the waveform generating circuit has no PWM control signal output, check whether the output is blocked by the protection circuit, if so, find out the protection reason.
- If the protection circuit does not work, and the working voltage is normal, and the waveform generating circuit has no PWM waveform output, it indicates that the waveform generating circuit is damaged.
The battery voltage is low, but the battery voltage is still not charged up after more than ten hours of charging. The cause of the fault may be the fault of the battery or the charging circuit.
- Check the charging circuit input / output voltage is normal.
- If the input voltage of the charging circuit is normal and the output voltage is abnormal, the battery of ups inverter for home can be disconnected and remeasured. If it is still abnormal, the charging circuit is faulty.
- If after the battery is disconnected, the input/output voltage of the charging circuit is normal, it indicates that the battery of the uninterruptible power inverter has been damaged because of long-term uncharged, stored for too long or has reached the life period.
After the ups is started, there is no display on the panel, and the 1500W ups inverter does not work. Faults often appear in the mains input, battery and mains test part, battery voltage test circuit. This fault can be checked and repaired by following steps.
- Check whether the mains input fuse (fuse) is burnt out.
- If the mains input fuse is intact, then check whether the battery fuse is burned, some uninterruptible power inverter in self-test battery voltage, will turn off all output and display.
- If the battery fuse is in good condition, it is necessary to check whether the mains detection circuit is working properly. If the mains detection circuit is not working properly and the uninterruptible power supply does not have the function of starting without mains, the UPS inverter will also shut down all output and display.
