Tips: How to use the DIP switch?

The DIP switch cannot directly control the stepper motor, it needs a stepper driver. The principle of the DIP switch is like the parallel connection of resistors. The number 8421 corresponds to the resistance value of 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 1 in turn, which can also be measured with a multimeter. The DIP switch is equivalent to a switch value. When it is turned ON, it means it is connected, and when it is OFF it means it is disconnected. In digital circuits, 0 and 1 are usually used for binary output.

Just what I needed.

I ordered these DIP switches because I think they are a great value. These DIP switches are solid construction and compact size. Switch action is firm and has a soft tactile impulse when the switch is opened and closed. I am very happy with them.

Very useful DIP switch

These 3 position DIP switches are a good quality unit. For my use, I put these switches into breadboard friendly DIP sockets. They're fine for use on solder-type protoboard.
