    Digital counter up/down input modes:
    Mode A: Up (addition)
INA counts up. INB is GATE function. When INB is high level (or shorted with +12V), INA input is forbidden.
Digital counter up down mode a
Mode B: Up/down (addition or subtraction)
INA counts up. INB is count-down control function. When INB is high level, INA turns count-up into count-down.
Digital counter up down mode b
Mode C: Up/down (addition and subtraction)
INA counts up, INB counts down.
Digital counter up down mode c
    Mode D: Up/down (for encoder)
INA signal leads INB signal (count-up). INA signal lags INB signal (count-down). It is often used for encoder or grating input.

Tips: Digital counter application in positioning and speed regulation of elevator
The leveling signal of elevator is obtained by the position sensors installed in the elevator well. When there are many floors, the number of such signals is large, and there are certain difficulties in equipment installation and maintenance. At the same time these signals take up a lot of PLC input port. If using PLC and high-speed counter for positioning, it can not only solve these problems, but also can achieve frequency control of elevator.
When the elevator is running, digital counter completes the counting work driven by the optical encoder. When the elevator car rises, digital counter counts up. When the elevator car goes down, digital counter counts down. The current value of the counter is the exact position of the car in the elevator well. In this way, the accurate positioning of the elevator is realized. This positioning method has the following functions: It realizes the floor digital display of the elevator lobby and car, determines the running direction, and determines the braking time of leveling.

In this video, ATO will show you how to wire a digital counter. And how to set the basic parameters of digital counter.

Can plug in a position transducer/linear scale and set the alarms to go off at a set distance?
Can plug in a position transducer/linear scale and set the alarms to go off at a set distance?

We can plug in a position transducer/linear scale and set alarm according to your requirement. If it is a position resistance scale, it cannot be used. By position transducer do you mean an encoder or a wheel sensor? Or some other position sensor?
Can digital counter read in metric or numeric?
Awesome can this read in metric or numeric?

Yes, you can modify the PC coefficient menu according to the metric or numeric display you want the counter to display.
    Problem of BT/Up button
We received the digital counter today. So far the front label was not applied fully. We tried to push it down, but the BT or Up button does not click.
The other three buttons, SET RST and down click fine, but BT/Up button cannot be pushed. So we have a defective counter and a rotary encoder with the wrong cable length. How would you like to proceed?
    From: rik | Date: 01/03/2023
Was this review helpful? Yes No (0/0)
    ATO Responded
If the BT/Up button of your counter cannot be used, you can try to connect to 220V AC power first, and then check whether each button can be used (please refer to the manual to try to use these buttons to modify parameters).
Of course, if the BT/Up button is indeed unable to be pressed, can you please set the parameters and provide a video to show this problem to us for further confirmation. Please confirm to us whether the counter has quality problems, so that we can proceed to the next step. You can send us the large video file via wetransfer.com.
Does your digital counter have a multiplication function?
We would like to integrate your ATO-DIGC-FH6D digital counter with a photoelectric sensor as a detection gauge. The sensor will be triggered when the strip is pass-by and send signal to the counter. In order to count the correct quantity, we need to multiply the number as every strip has 20 units of component. I would like to know if the counter has any features of multiple functions.

    ATO Responded
Yes, our counter has the multiply function you mentioned below, and the coefficient can be set in the counter parameter setting.
Digital counter measure number of motor rotations
Can we connect your digital counter to proximity sensor so that they can measure the number of motor rotations?
    From: Bryan | Date: 09/04/2020
Was this review helpful? Yes No (0/0)
    ATO Responded
Yes, you can choose the digital counter with the Function C (number/length) to count numbers. We recommend that you use a photoelectric sensor or a rotary encoder to measure high-speed rotating motors. If you want to measure the rotational speed of the motor, we suggest you choosing another model ATO-DIGC-FA6D Frequency/Rev/Speed Digital Counter.
    Very accurate
The up/down digital counter has good quality and high accuracy. It is very simple to operate and easy to install. We have used it for a long time, the counting function is still very accurate. We are also satisfied with fast delivery and tight packaging.

Digital counter for calculating cloth length
We use the digital counter with 6 digit to calculate the length of the cloth. We have a lot of questions in the process of installation and debugging, and the customer service staff answers us carefully. Now the digital counter works well. The length calculated by the digital counter is very accurate.
