Some questions of load cell
I've helped my daughter calculate the drag on spheres of various sizes and I think our range will be 0-20 N where we're interested in capturing things in the 0-5 N range.
I have a question. When you reference "zero output" in the specs as 1% full scale, does that mean that your error around zero is 1% full scale? So a 5 kg scale would have an error of 0.05 kg around zero. I've been looking at the various s-type load cells.

I'm curious if you might have anything on the scratch and dent shelf, or return shelf, or could possibly provide an educational discount. I don't think we really meet the listed requirements for the educational discount. This work is performed at home. We could certainly write a review after all is said and done. My daughter will also make a poster where we could acknowledge ATO as a contributor.

"Zero output" is the zero point error of the no-load output, and the zero point error can be ignored by tare. The accuracy of the S-type load cell is about 0.5% when it is 0-5KG, so the error theory of 5Kg is 0.025Kg. However, this error is actually related to the accuracy of the acquisition system and display used.
Calibration problems with load cells
I tried all options as you mentioned above email as well as other systems. After all, it always displays " Error 1". And for calibration, I always follow two steps calibration approach as mentioned into video. However, it displays Error 1. I don't know the reason exactly. Thanks

1. For a 5 ton range load cell, you need at least 500Kg of weight to do the calibration work. But with the video you provided earlier, we can't see what the calibration weight is? May I ask what objects are you using as calibration weights? What is the specific weight in kg that you can use for calibration?
2. Before the calibration work, please confirm that the load cell and the controller are wired correctly, and prepare a weight of 500Kg. If you cannot provide a 500Kg weight object for calibration, please prepare a 50Kg calibration weight and use the following coefficient calibration method for calibration.
3. Please follow the linked operation video to recalibrate using the coefficient calibration method.
Note:
1. Please set the display unit to Kg, set the sensor range parameter F-r to 5000Kg, and do Not set the decimal point.
2. Calibrate according to the correction factor method in the video, only put in the calibration weight 50Kg.

I bought and installed an s type load cell from Ato. I need a data sheet for the calibration and configuration of my setup. I am measuring pressure in PSI; I will therefore need a datasheet that correlates mV and Psi. Thank you.

I got the S-type Load Cell installed. I need a data sheet to deduce a linear expression for my configuration. You may forward that to my email. Thank you

Different capacity range with different deformation. eg. For 300kg capacity, the deformation is 0.02mm. For 10 ton capacity, the deformation is 0.2mm.
Good morning
Could this cell work for a press that has 10ms of impact?
Thank you

I have a load cell, and have a question about it.
Is there a side of the unit that needs to be on top, and the other side needs to be on bottom? Or is the unit okay with being installed in both orientations?

Yes, this load cell can be fixed on one end (top or bottom) or two ends (both top and bottom), either is ok. It must be noted that when fixing the screws, there should be a little gap between the screws and the ring surface.
We received the first load cell and display controller with software.
We received the first load cell and display controller with software. I need some help installing them. Can you please send me a translated copy of the manual for the controller and software in English? All I have is in Chinese.

Please check the attached translated copy of the manual for the controller and software.
Note that when you install the software, you can first modify the computer language to Simplified Chinese (this will not modify the current language of the computer) according to the attached notice document, and then install the software, which can avoid system errors and install the software smoothly.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.

Questions about load cell
What happens if the load exceeds 100%F.S? For example, can I operate the cell at 125%F.S? Or 150%?

Within 150% of the range, the components inside the sensor may be damaged, and more than 150% of the sensor capacity, may cause deformation.

ATO load cell is perfect for my equipment.
I want to buy a 500kg s type load cell. After confirming with the staff, I am told that the ATO-LC-S01 is exactly the same dimension as my broken load cell. Since my accessories are still available, there is no need to buy the rings. The received load cell looks very solid, and it's really heavier than the original one. I think it's very perfect that it can be installed directly in the equipment. Now it has been running for some days, all aspects of performance are better than the original.
