Tips: Difference between single-phase and three-phase ATO isolation transformers

ATO three-phase isolation transformer has three windings around one iron core, you can simultaneously transform three-phase power voltage to the secondary winding whose output is also three-phase power. And the single-phase isolation transformer core only has one winding, it can only transform one-phase power to the secondary side of the output. In large substations and power plants, three single-phase transformers are also used together to form a three-phase transformer which is called ''combined three-phase transformer''. Generally, Grid transmission and industry adopt three-phase power, so they all use three-phase transformers. The single-phase transformers are generally used for civilian need single-phase power supply such as household appliances and so on, its capacity is relatively small. Compared with single-phase isolation transformer, three-phase isolation transformer with the same capacity has advantages like smaller size, lower loss and material-saving, so does the motor.

Function of 6kVA isolation alarm transformer
Does your Isolation transformer have alarm feature in case of overheating?
From: Hamada | Date: 26/04/2021
Was this review helpful? Yes No (0/0)
ATO Responded
Yes, isolation transformer with a capacity of more than 100KVA will be equipped with an alarm H. This alarm is to detect the temperature of the transformer. When the temperature rises to 150 degrees, an alarm will be triggered. At this time, it is necessary to manually stop the transformer, or use it after reducing the power, or stop using and wait for the temperature return to normal, and then use transformer again.
