Tips: What precautions should I take when using a variable linear DC power supply?

When using a variable linear DC power supply, observe several precautions for safety and proper operation. Firstly, check the voltage and current ratings of your device to ensure they match the power supply specifications. Before connecting, set the voltage and current limits to values appropriate for your application. Use insulated tools and avoid touching exposed metal parts while the power supply is active. Connect the load securely and double-check polarities to prevent damage. Gradually increase voltage and current, monitoring for any irregularities. Avoid short circuits and be cautious with high current settings to prevent overheating. Turn off the power supply before making adjustments or connecting/disconnecting loads. Regularly inspect cables and connections for wear. Follow manufacturer guidelines and consult the user manual for specific precautions related to your power supply model.

We need a new power cord
We need to get a new power cord because our outlets require a NEMA 6-20 connector. Should we get a cord that is rated for 10A or 20A? Is 10A sufficient?

ATO Responded
We recommend that the plug cable above 16A will be better and more stable, so you can buy a 20A power cord with a 20A plug or a 16A plug.
