Tips for Using a Vernier Caliper

Clean the measuring surface of the jaws.
After using the vernier caliper, wipe it clean and oil it, put it in the caliper box, and be careful not to rust or get dirty.
Check whether the ruler frame and the micro-motion device can move flexibly and whether the fastening screws can work.
After the measurement, the vernier caliper should be placed flat, especially the large-sized vernier caliper should be paid attention to, otherwise, the caliper will be bent and deformed.
Check the zero position. Make the two measuring claws of the vernier caliper closely fit, there should be no obvious light gap, and the zero line of the main scale and the zero line of the vernier should be aligned.

Works great, decent quality

I had an outside wind catcher with two bad bearings, and I pulled the bearings and cleaned and no markings on the bearings to determine size. So the caliper was a great price to use and worked great the changing from Metric to inches was wonderful and the fraction option was accurate. Worked great. I hope to have this for years! Will be great for measuring bolts and nuts.
