Tips: Wireless ultrasonic level sensor measurement principle

The ultrasonic probe emits ultrasonic pulses, which propagate through the air to the measured water surface, and then return to the ultrasonic probe through the air after reflection, because the time of emission and reception are able to be known, and according to this time × speed of sound ÷ 2 = the distance between the emitting surface of the probe and the water surface.

Calculation formula: D = C * t/2

(divided by 2 because the sound wave is actually a round trip from emission to reception, D is the distance, C is the speed of sound, and t is the time).

If the time difference between emission and reception is 0.01 seconds, the speed of sound is 340 meters/second.

340 meters/second x 0.01 seconds = 3.40 meters

3.40 meters ÷ 2 = 1.70 meters

That is, the distance between the transmitting surface of the probe and the water surface is 1.70 meters.

Good Quality of Wireless Ultrasonic Level Sensor
This wireless ultrasonic liquid level sensor is really amazing! I use it to monitor the liquid level of liquid storage tanks, and it performs very accurately and reliably. The installation process is very simple and does not require complex wiring, which is particularly helpful in reducing construction costs and time.
