    What are the Types of LED Indicator Lights?

    A light may come on when the machine is running, or flash when the machine is experiencing technical problems. Lights on the elevator will light up to indicate which floor the elevator is on and when it is safe to leave the elevator. These are just two of the many applications for LED indicator lights.

    They are found in a wide variety of industries, but are especially important in those where safety is critical, such as industrial machinery, defense and aerospace applications.     Different types indicator lights

    • Tiny Bulbs. Tiny bulbs are simple, compact bulbs with a wide range of connectivity options. Base types include screws, wedges, sliders, tubes, slots, bayonet, etc. They come in a variety of colors, shapes, and input voltage options.
    • Detachable Panel Indicators. Detachable indicators use lamp holders that accept a variety of miniature light fixtures as needed. Changing colors or replacing lights is possible with this panel indication. Configurations are huge and can include spade and screw terminals and cylindrical or hemispherical lenses. They are available in a variety of colors and even work as a waterproof unit.
    • Snap/ Bolt Panel Indicators. Panel indicators in a snap or bolt configuration are longer lasting and have built-in lights. The LED warning lights are available in flat, top hat and dome lenses, and in a variety of colors. As the name suggests, they are either snapped to the board or bolted to the board.
    • Middle base. The LED bulbs in the middle base are closer to the bulbs you see in a residence. They are universal and can be omnidirectional, dimmable or right angle. They are quite versatile, and you can find them in everything from cars and elevators to amusement park rides. The shape of the middle LED bulb can also vary greatly, such as flame type, chandelier type, European candlestick type, curved type, bayonet type and tube head.
    • PCB LEDs. PCBs use LEDs in a variety of ways, and LEDs need to be flexible to match this versatility. PCB LEDs have right angle arrays, vertical arrays, multi-level designs, etc. Shapes include circular, cylindrical, rectangular and modular lights for bar graph applications. They can be bicolor or tricolor.
    • Household Light Bulbs. Many household appliances require specific indicator light bulbs to function properly. LED appliance bulbs come in a variety of shapes and power levels. You need to match the bulb to the appliance's specifications.
    • Beacon Lights. Beacon lights can provide full 360-degree illumination in an area. They contain multiple layers that add height and power to the lamp. They usually provide light in a radial pattern, like the lights on a lighthouse or police car.
