Existing reviews of Single Point Load Cell, 300g/1kg/3kg/10kg/60kg/100kg/200kg to 500kg
Hi, We're looking at implementing a set of cantilever beam load cells and are looking for your technical feedback on our application. Here's a description of our application:
We're mounting a concrete mixer with a weight going from 150 to 156 kg between being empty and being full. That mass will be moving laterally on a set of motorized slides during process. We're planning on reading the weight only after we've stopped the axis from moving. We're expecting there will be non-constant moment/eccentric loads onto each load cells while the mass is being moved around. Would those loads skew the calibration of the load cell even if we're only taking a reading while the mass is stationary?
Looking forward to your feedback.

1. Yes, in this case, when the object being measured moves from one place to another, the measurement value read by the load sensor will have a slight deviation.
Of course, if you only measure the weight once after moving the mixer and do Not compare the measurements twice, this deviation will have little impact.
2. What is the total weight of your concrete mixer plus load in Kg? Is it round or square? If it is round, it is generally equipped with 3 load cells, and if it is square, it is generally equipped with 4 load cells.
Can this load cell work with 24V DC excitation voltage?
Can our SKU: ATO-LC-SP01 load cell work with 24V DC excitation voltage?

ATO-LC-SP01 load cell can only work under 5-15V DC excitation voltage.
This time the display is not changing at all
I did what you said this morning (you should first put the weight 2Kg in the load cell, and then input the weight number 2Kg (the video shows that you input the number 2 first, and then put the weight 2Kg , the order is reversed).
However, After I did the calibration as what I highlighted in bold, instead of showing some random thing, this time the display is not changing at all. It remain at 0.00kg even though I put the 2Kg load on the top of my load cell.
My step is :
1. reset as we discussed before
2. zero point calibration
3. change the 04 decimal place to 2
4. change the 10 Cr the measure range to 0005.00 because my load cell is a 5kg capacity load cell
5. do the 02 load the calibration value by put the 2 kg load first and then manually enter the 0002.00 to the amplifier
6. long press the first button and exit the setting mode
However, still not work. The display value will not change at this time., keep in 0000.00 in the display screen and nothing change even I put the load on the load cell.

We think that in your case, the parameters of the amplifier should be confused. Now you need to restore the factory parameter settings (Note: you should disconnect the power first, and then press the button in the middle of K2.). Regarding the input power, we suggest you add a 1P circuit breaker, so that it will be more convenient to operate the power on/off.
1. Please restore the factory parameters first:
Power off, then press and hold the K2 key, keep it unchanged, and power on, wait for more than 2 seconds, and then release the key K2.
When the factory reset is complete, you can disconnect the power and then plug it in again. Finally, please check whether the transmitter can display normally, and then proceed to the following calibration steps.
2. Calibrate again;
1. zero point calibration
2. change the 04 decimal place to 2
3. change the 10 Cr the measure range to 0005.00 because my load cell is a 5kg capacity load cell
4. do the 02 load the calibration value by put the 2 kg load first and then manually enter the 0002.00 to the amplifier
5. long press the first button and exit the setting mode
When you calibrate, you do Not need to set the sensor's range cr-5Kg, you only need to complete the zero point calibration and target weight calibration. Please check whether the weight displayed by the transmitter is correct before calibrating the output signal.
Please provide the video of restoring the factory parameters mentioned above, as well as the video of completing the zero point calibration and target weight calibration. If we confirm that there is still a problem in the video, we will replace you with a new amplifier for free.
What is the nominal and maximum deflection for this load cell?
Also curious to know if there is a full datasheet beyond what is provided on this webpage.

Before the maximum deformation is 0.1mm~0.2mm, the deformation under normal load is almost unchanged, but if the load exceeds 150%, the sensor may be damaged.
Can this load cell read dynamic forces? In other words, can I apply a thrust of 4 seconds on it and have it accurately read out the acceleration and deceleration of the thrust?

Yes, our load cell can read dynamic forces.
The response frequency of the sensor is about 300Hz, which requires the sampling frequency of the display controller connected to the sensor to be fast enough, so it can read the changes of thrust addition and subtraction.
For your load cell, the uncertainty on the 500 g capacity is 0.05% FS as listed on the web site. Does that mean that the uncertainty at ambient T is 0.25 grams?

For accuracy: 0.05%F.S, yes its 0.25 grams, that is correct.
Precautions for using 300g-500kg single point load cell
When using your load cell transmitter with 10kg load cell capacity, then I want to disconnect and use it for another load cell capacity, would I need to re-calibrate?

Yes, you need to re-calibrate the transmitter again, because the setting of the transmitter is related to the range of the load cell.

Good products wroth to recommend
At a good price, I bought 8 single point load cells for our food packaging machines. Now all the machines work very well. There are also several good products which can be suit for my friends who are responsible for load cell procurement, so I will recommend ATO to them.
