Superior Micro Rotary Torque Sensor
This is the latest miniature rotary torque sensor purchased by our laboratory. I am looking forward to our upcoming experiments in torque measurement applications, but there is still one issue to consider. Is the 0.1 Nm ranged sensor sufficient to measure torque when our expected torque values range from approximately 0.0008 Nm up to about 0.005 Nm?

This Micro Rotary Torque Sensor ATO-TQS-D02, measuring range 0.1Nm, the minimum range can measure about 0.005 Nm, but can Not measure 0.0008 Nm.
I'm considering purchasing a torque transducer
I'm considering purchasing a torque transducer. Would like to know if the software for data acquisition comes with this? (Enabled by the RS485 option?) Let me know, thanks.

If you select this option: Output Signal * RS485, it means that the output signal of the torque sensor is converted to RS485, but the data acquisition software is Not included. If you want to collect and record the torque sensor values on the computer, we recommend using another amplifier ATO-DPM-DY800.
We believe that SKU ATO-TQS-D02 with 0.5 N*m capacity and 0.1% FS accuracy specification is a good starting point.
Please confirm (1) the final system total accuracy (linearity repeatability hysteresis in /-% of FSO), (2) the procedure for compensating the /-2% FSO zero balance (must be adjusted at each start-up?), and (3) whether we can send back to ATO for yearly calibration.
Thank you for your help in this matter

Dear Levy,
1. The overall accuracy of the system is 0.1%FS, and the accuracy of the torque sensor and instrument cannot be adjusted.
2. Yes, calibration includes paper calibration report. There will be 5 groups of data verification of forward and reverse torque, forward and backward torque in the report.
3. After the sensor is installed, it is necessary to adjust the overall coaxiality of the device. And after each test, check whether the reset to zero meets the requirements.
4. Calibration services can still be provided after one year, but an additional charge of 82USD is required, and you need to bear the round-trip shipping cost To China.
Good afternoon sir: The college I teach, bought this sensor. However I am very disappointed, that no manual is included. Can you sent me a manual, please?

More information about the 0.1-5Nm torque sensor
Hello, I'm Andrea Negri from IMT (Italy). We are interested in your product ATO-TQS-D02. Is it possible to have a user manual or more information about it? We are looking for an analogue 5V or something like this. For example, the D03 can have RS485 and -5V. It is perfect for us, but the dimensions are not compliant to our requirements. The D02 dimensions are ok and it fits well with our system.

This sensor output torque signal is 0-20mv by default, so note what follows:
1. If you want to get an output analogue signal of 5V, then you have to use this amplifier >>> SKU: ATO-LCTR-OAR
See spec, price and you can order online by credit card at: https://www.ato.com/digital-load-cell-amplifier-output-4-20ma-0-10v-rs485
2. If you want to get an output analogue signal of ±5V, then you have to use this transmitter >>> SKU: ATO-LCTR-OA
See spec, price and you can order online by credit card at: https://www.ato.com/load-cell-transmitter-output-0-5v-4-20ma
Torque reading of torque sensor
Hi, I have a question regarding the torque sensor. Will there be any changes on torque reading if I apply axial force (tension or compression) on the torque sensor?
