The magnetic particle clutch and brake delivers the torque according to the principle of electromagnetism and via the magnetic powder. The torque transmitted thereby and the exciting current are basically linearly related. The magnetic powder clutch can also be used to buffer the start, provide overload protection, and adjust the speed. The magnetic powder brake is usually used for dynamometer torque loading and braking.
