Hi, we had a GK3000-1S0022 3 hp (2.2 kW) single phase VFD for use with a 230V 1P 10.6A single phase motor. I have set it up following the instructions. We get error E1 when connected to U&V, and we get error E3 when connected to U&W.

In my experience, the potential cause for errors like E1 and E3 is the mismatched motor and VFD parameters. For example, if the motor’s rated current or voltage doesn’t align with what the VFD is set to, it can trigger these errors. You might want to cross-check the motor's full-load current rating with the VFD’s output capabilities.

    Hi, Dennett
Please follow the steps below to check and reset the VFD parameters:
    1. Capacitors can be maintained when wiring single-phase motors, and just connect the 2 power wire of the motor to U, V or U, W.
    2. The nameplate of your single-phase motor shows that the motor supports multiple input voltages. Please check the wiring instructions of the motor to confirm that the wiring is connected according to single-phase 220V or 230V.
    3. If the motor wiring is confirmed to be correct, please set P3.01=10 (restore the factory parameter settings), and then reset the VFD parameters according to the attached quick setting document, and try testing again.
