    Recommend H2 Detector for Natural Gas Distribution System

    I'm working on a project to blend a small percentage of Hydrogen into a natural gas distribution system. While searching for a hydrogen detector, I came across an ATO portable Hydrogen detector. Can anyone know if this detector would be suitable for detecting Hydrogen leaks at joints where natural gas might not leak? If so, what measuring range would you recommend?

    I recommend this ATO portable Hydrogen (H2) gas detector is a good choice for measuring H2 leakage. The 0-1000ppm measuring range will be ok.

    There is no problem, the gas detector will not be affected in that case when natural gas is also in the air.

    I've used similar detectors in environments with mixed gases, and they generally handle it well. Just make sure to calibrate it regularly for accurate readings.

    It's always good to check the sensor's cross-sensitivity to other gases. Some models might have slight interference from natural gas, but most modern detectors are designed to minimize this.
