Speed-torque curve
- Instantaneous maximum torque line
The maximum torque momentarily impacts the load when the motor is started.
Beyond this torque, the over-current protection of the driver will cause the motor to stop.
- Short time operation area
The motor can run at a short time within this torque range at different speeds.
If the operation time is too long, the motor will generate heat, which may cause the motor to stop or burn.
- Rated operating torque line
The rated torque of motor running at different speeds, and the motor can run for a long time at this torque.
- Continuous operating area
When the motor rotates at different speeds, it runs continuously in this corresponding zone.
Tips: Working principle of planetary gear motor
When the sun gear rotates under the drive of the servo motor, the engagement with the planetary gear causes the planetary gear to rotate, and at the same time, because the planetary gear has the other side of the planetary gear to engage with the annular ring gear on the inner wall of the planetary reducer housing, Eventually, under the rotation driving force, the planetary gear will roll on the annular ring gear in the same direction as the sun gear, forming a "revolution" movement around the sun gear.
Generally, each planetary reducer will have multiple planetary gears, which will rotate around the central sun gear under the action of the input shaft and the sun's rotational driving force, and share and transmit the output power of the planetary reducer.
It is not difficult to see that the input speed of the motor side of the planetary reducer (that is, the speed of the sun gear) is higher than the output speed of the load side (that is, the speed at which the planetary gear revolves around the sun gear), which is why it is called The reason for the "Reducer".
The speed ratio between the motor drive side and the application output side is called the reduction ratio of the planetary reducer, or "speed ratio" for short. It is usually represented by the letter "i" in the product specifications. It is composed of the ring gear and the sun gear. The size (circumference or number of teeth) is determined by the ratio. In general, the speed ratio of planetary reducers with single-stage reduction gear sets is usually between 3 and 10; planetary reducers with speed ratios above 10 need to use two-stage (or more) planetary gear sets to reduce speed. Generally, the transmission efficiency of the servo planetary reducer can reach more than 97%, the backlash is generally less than 3 arcmin, and the rigidity can reach 3 Nm/arcmin or even higher.
