Existing reviews of 5 hp (3.8 kW) Brushless DC Motor, 48V/72V/96V, 12 Nm
The actual output requirements that I need are 25.5Nm, 1374 rpm. Do you offer a 2:1 right angle gearbox for this motor? That would get the speed requirement where it needs to be while keeping torque in the right ballpark as well. Otherwise the output will be only 1000 rpm which is too slow. Please advise.

Unfortunately, the minimum speed ratio of our right-angle planetary reducer is only 3:1, and there is no 2:1. So the output speed can only be 1000rpm after configuring the reducer, or you can enlarge the capacity of the motor and reduce the motor speed to about 1300rpm through control.
1- For the ATO-BLDC-3800R3 (the 48V 5HP DC motor), does the power also drop if we control the speed to be 1000rpm?
2- Can speed be regulated via CAN during operation? (For the 7,5kW motor you suggested last email and fot the 5HP motor we discussed in the prior emails).

1.Yes, For the ATO-BLDC-3800R3, the power also drop if you control the speed to be 1000rpm, this is the same as the 5KW motor.
In fact, the brushless motor can only maintain full power at the rated speed. If the motor speed is reduced, the power and torque will decrease at the same time, and the output torque will be very small below 500rpm.
So if you want the motor to maintain the same rated output torque at different speeds, we recommend you use a servo motor.
2. The ATO-BLDC-3800R3 can adjust the speed through Can during operation without any problem. But the 500W motor is Not suitable.
I want to know about the 12V motor
1- What is the mechanism to regulate velocity in the 12V motor (taking into account that we cannot control the operation via CAN)?
And I want to add a question about another motor, the 48V 5kW DC motor, model
ATO-180WDM16030.
2- If we buy it with its matched controller, does it allow us to to have the 5kW output at 1500rpm (instead of the 3000rpm which is it rated speed)?
3- Does it allow to soft start and to control the operation via CAN?
Thank you very much!

1. The speed of 2V motor can use analog potentiometer, analog signal 4-20ma/0-10v, PWM signal, etc.
2. For a 5kW motor, if the speed drops to 1500rpm, the power of the motor will also drop by about half. The controller can soft-start the motor through analog signals, and the acceleration and deceleration time can be set before leaving the factory.
So if you want the motor to maintain 5000W power at 1500 rpm, you need a motor with more capacity, such as this one:https://www.ato.com/Content/doc/bldc-motor-180mm-series/
I wanted to contact you regarding the DC motors that ATO offers
Looking at your website, I ran a cross a 5HP, 48V, DC motor (model ATO-180WDM12030). I wanted to know if you offer a driver for that motor, which allows to control its velocity (we are interested in 5HP output at 1000rpm).
Apart from that, we are also looking for a 48V DC motor which can deliver 5kW at 1500rpm, and a 12V DC motor that can deliver 500W at 3000rpm and that has a velocity regulation mechanism,
Would you happen to have products that suit the prior descriptions?
Thank you in advance, I will be waiting for your reply.

We can provide 500W, 3000rpm, 12VDC BLDC motor, the price is the same as the 24V voltage on our website.
But the matching controller needs to use ATO-BLDC-C100, input voltage range 12-60VDC, see spec on: https://www.ato.com/brushless-dc-motor-controller-12v-60v
Three quesitons regarding all the controlers
1- Can the velocity be regulated via CAN communication?
2- Can the controller be programmed via CAN communication?
3- And lastly, do you send orders to south america?

For ATO-BLDC-3800R3 motor, the controller can be programmed via CAN communication to control the speed.
But for 500W, 12VDC motor, CAN can only be used to monitor the parameters of the motor and cannot be used to control the operation.
The Basic specifications list peak torque at 30Nm, however the chart included lists the peak torque at 5.4Nm. What is the correct peak torque for the motor running 48V system?

Can we customize BLDC motor?
We require a 170 volt dc rating BLDC motor. My controller produces 170 volts dc and requires a motor able to operate in that environment. Can you customize it?

BLDC motor drive can be controlled through 0-5VDC analog signal to adjust the speed.
We need 5hp BLDC motor with speed needs to be constant with no load and full load, can you provide?

Yes we can. The motor speed can be constant, and the controller with CAN is used to control the motor and of course the speed of the motor can be adjusted.

The working efficiency of the 5hp brushless DC motor is very high, up to 85%.
Do you have a 5HP or 5KW motor at 24VDC brushless?
1. Do you have a 5HP or 5KW motor at 24VDC brushless? What is the largest motor you have in 24VDC BLDC?
2. Can your BLDC motor runs 24 hours in 6 mounts without stop? And what is its service life?

1. Unfortunately can not provide 24VDC input option for 5kW BLDC motor, the minimum voltage is 48VDC. The max power capacity we provide based on 24VDC is 2.5 hp (1.9 kW).
2. As long as the temperature of the motor is below 40 degrees at running, there is no problem of continuous operation for 6 months. (Note: If the motor load is too large, it will cause the current to increase, causing the temperature rise), and the service life of is more than 10,000 hours.
Is it possible to get the motor customized with my requirements?
I want a BLDC motor with peak power less than 6kW. I also want rated power about 4kW. I saw a motor on your web site with rated power 3.8 kW. But the peak power is 9.4kW. So is it possible to get the motor customized with my requirements.

Yes, we can provide it.
The BLDC motor controller has an internal current limiting function. According to P=UI, by setting the max current value, the maximum output power can be reached.
