    • All the ATO 3-phase AC gear motors are suitable for this installation method, as shown in the following diagram.
    • In the diagram, Q1, Q4, Q7, Q8 are the standard types of oil hole direction. If you need the air hole be on a special position, please contact us to modify the air hole direction.
    • In actual use, it is recommended to pull out the oil plug in the air hole to balance the pressure in gearbox.

    Fully Functional Motor
    I want to use this three-phase AC gear motor to test an electric bike and need it to act as a generator, providing a constant load for the electric bike motor. The load amount will be controlled by a test operator using a dial or programming. In this test, the operator would slowly increase the load on the electric bike motor from 0Nm to 120Nm and measure the output torque/speed using the ATO torque sensor.
    We need the motor to be able to provide >120Nm of torque load at >50rpm for > 1 minute without overheating, and also be able to provide >30Nm torque load at 500rpm continuously. Can its system support this need?

    Now you require the maximum speed of the motor to provide >30Nm torque load at 500rpm continuously. So the maximum speed required by this motor is 300rpm or 500rpm?
    Because the maximum output of the ATO-GEAR-HV3700 motor with a 5:1 ratio is fixed at 300rpm, if you ask for 500rpm now, it can only reduce the reduction ratio, but it will also reduce the output torque.
    If your test system changes both motor speed and torque, a servo motor may be more appropriate. However, the servo motor is equipped with a planetary reducer, and the motor needs to be equipped with an encoder and used together with the controller.
    Worth the price
    I bought this 3 phase AC gear motor to use in our engineering printer. After a few days of testing, it has performed perfectly. This gear motor has low energy consumption and low noise. It is far more satisfying than the original motor. Plus, the price, it's really worth it.
