Inverter/Charger Working Principle & Applications
Inverter Split-Phase Output Terminal Description
Tips: Difference between Power Inverter and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD)
1. Power inverter is a component used to convert direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC). Variable frequency drive (VFD) is a device that is used to change AC frequency.
2. Inverter converts 12V/24V/48V DC power (batteries) into AC power (like 110V/120V/220V/240V pure sine wave), and the frequency can also be adjusted.
VFD converts the input AC power to the required frequency AC output. Its working principle is "AC-DC-AC" or "AC-AC", and "AC-DC-AC" form is more common. For the principle of "AC-DC-AC", first VFD converts AC to DC, and then converts DC to AC, that is, "rectifier + inverter".
3. VFD has the part to adjust the frequency, while the power inverter has a fixed output frequency.
