Tips: What is a Brushless DC (BLDC) Motor?

BLDC motors are brushless dc electric motors without brush and commutator (or slip ring), also known as no commutator motor. Brushless DC motor is a permanent magnet synchronous motor, rather than a real DC motor. Different from brush DC motor, brushless DC motor does not use the mechanical brush device, using square wave controlled permanent magnet synchronous motor and Hall sensor to replace the carbon brush commutator.
