Rigid Shaft Coupling Dimension 50 x 55mm (unit: mm)
Tips: 5 tips for choosing a coupling
1. Due to production, installation, load deformation, temperature change and other reasons, it is difficult to maintain strict accuracy of the two axes after installation and adjustment
Displacement and deflection in X and Y directions will exist. When the radial displacement is large, you can choose the slider coupling, and the angular displacement is large or the connection of the intersecting two shafts can choose the universal coupling. When the additional relative displacement of the two shafts is large during operation, a flexible coupling should be selected.
2. The working speed of the coupling is uneven, the size of the centrifugal force
For high-speed transmission shafts, a coupling with high balance accuracy, such as a diaphragm coupling, should be selected instead of a painful slider coupling.
3. The size and nature of the required torque and the requirements of the cushioning and damping function
For example, gear couplings can be used for high-power and heavy-duty transmissions; for severe shock loads or transmissions that need to eliminate shaft torsional vibration, such as tire couplings.
4. The working speed of the coupling is uneven and the size of the centrifugal force
For high-speed transmission shafts, a coupling with high balance accuracy, such as a diaphragm coupling, should be selected instead of a painful slider coupling.
5. The magnitude and direction of the relative displacement of the two axes
After installation and adjustment, it is difficult to adhere to the strict and accurate alignment of the two shafts, or when the two shafts will have a large additional relative displacement during operation, a flexible coupling should be selected. For example, when the radial displacement is large, you can choose a slider coupling, and when the angular displacement is large or the connection of two intersecting shafts, you can choose a universal coupling.
6. The reliability and working environment of the coupling
Generally speaking, non-smooth couplings made of metal components are more reliable; couplings that require smoothness are easily affected by smoothness and perfection, and may pollute the environment. Couplings containing non-metallic components such as rubber are sensitive to temperature, corrosive media and strong light, and are prone to aging.
7. Production, installation, protection and cost of coupling
On the premise of satisfying the basic functions, a coupling that is easy to disassemble, simple to protect, and low in cost should be selected. For example, the rigid coupling is not only simple in structure, but also easy to disassemble and assemble, and can be used for low-speed, high-rigidity drive shafts. General non-metallic elastic element couplings (such as elastic sleeve pin couplings, elastic pin couplings, plum-shaped elastic couplings, etc.) are widely used in general small and medium power transmissions due to their good induction capabilities.
