Tips: Maintenance of Ultrasound Thickness Meter

1. When using the ultrasonic thickness gauge, it should be handled carefully and lightly to avoid collision.

2. After use of the instrument, the main engine and probe of the instrument should be cleaned and stored in the instrument box.

3. When the instrument is not used for a long time, the battery must be taken out.

4. If the instrument fails and cannot be used, it needs to return to the factory for maintenance.

5. Cleaning of calibration test blocks
Due to applying the couplant when calibrating the instrument with the test block, attention should be paid to anti-rust. Wipe the test block clean after use. If it is not used for a long time, a little grease should be coated on the surface of the test block to prevent rust. When it is used again, the grease can be wiped off first.

6. Cleaning of casing of ultrasonic thickness gauge
Alcohol, diluent and so on have corrosive effect on the casing, especially on the display window, so when cleaning it, gently wipe it with a small amount of water.

7. Protection of Probe
The surface of probe is acrylic resin, which is sensitive to the scratch of rough surface, so it should be pressed lightly in use. When measuring rough surface, try to reduce the scratch of probe on working surface. When measuring at room temperature, the surface of the object to be measured should not exceed 60℃, otherwise the probe can no longer be used. The attachment of oil and dust will make the probe wire aging and breaking gradually. After using, the dirt on the cable should be cleaned.
