Tips: Characteristics of Hall current sensor with 4-20mA/0-20mA output signal
The use of current sensor with 0-5V output signal is limited when the signal needs to be transmitted remotely or the power grid interferes in the environment. It's because of the disadvantages of poor anti-jamming ability. While the current sensor with current output signal has been widely used for its high anti-interference ability.
The output range of the current output Hall current sensor is often 0~20Ma and 4~20Ma, and when the sensor outputs the minimum current and the maximum current, they are respectively represented the minimum and maximum rated output values calibrated by the sensor .
For the Hall current sensor with output 0~20Ma, we only need to select the appropriate buck resistance in the circuit design, it is suitable to convert the voltage on the resistor to digital signal through A/D converter directly, circuit debugging and data processing are relatively simple.
For the Hall current sensor with output 4~20Ma, the circuit debugging and data processing are more cumbersome. But the current sensor is capable of detecting wheather the current is in the normal range when the sensor is no signal, and to judge whether the circuit is faulty or not, so it is more commonly used.

    small question
Just to confirm, E+  and E- are the power and Ug and Ground are the analog output?

    Yes, you are right.
But note: the power supply needs to use ±12VDC dual power supply, E+ is connected to +12V, E- is connected to -12V, and GND needs to be connected to 0V of the power supply.
In other words, GND connected to 0V of the power supply is also 0V of the signal output.
High side or low side current measurement
Is this transducer capable to put in the high side of the circuit, I mean put before the load in the positive wire or is low side to put after the load in the negative wire?

It can be placed in front or behind the load
    Current sensor transmission is stable
The current sensor is small and exquisite, the instruction manual is detailed, and the price is very cheap. The product received is in good condition, and it is recommended to buy it.

Working principle of 0.1mA~5A AC/DC current sensor
I also need to know how the 0.1mA~5A AC/DC current sensor works. Does it use a shunt or does it measure the electric field?

    ATO Responded
For 0.1mA~5A AC/DC current sensor, it adopts linear photoelectric isolation or modulation and demodulation principle to measure the AC and DC current in the circuit "in real time", and it converts the measurement results to 0-20mA or 4- 20mA analog signal.
