Yes, 24V wind turbine can be connected to charge the 12V battery, but we recommend that the input voltage and output voltage be consistent to avoid triggering the automatic protection of the controller prematurely.

At the present time I have 12 v battery's I will be switching over to lithium ion phosphate  battery's next year will this controller accommodate these battery's

Will your wind turbine charge controller regulate / transform power from a 24v wind generator and feed a 48v battery bank?
Will your wind turbine charge controller regulate / transform power from a 24v wind generator and feed a 48v battery bank? (we have 2) If not do you have anything that will? How does it shed load when batteries full?

No, our wind turbine charging controller cannot regulate / convert the power of a 24v wind generator and power a 48v battery pack. Wind turbine output voltage should be the same as battery charging voltage.
When the battery is fully charged, the fan is automatically instructed to brake and the turbine stops generating electricity.
