Tips: Variable frequency drive installation environment

    Electrical use conditions:

To prevent electromagnetic wave interference. VFD (Frequency inverter) in the work due to rectification and frequency conversion, around a lot of interference electromagnetic waves, these high-frequency electromagnetic waves on the nearby instruments, instruments have a certain interference. Therefore, the cabinet instrumentation and electronic systems should be selected metal shell, shielding the VFD to instrumentation interference. All components should be reliably grounded, in addition to the electrical components, instruments and instruments between the connection should be selected shielded control cable, and the shielding layer should be grounded. If electromagnetic interference is not handled well, it will often make the whole system unable to work and lead to control unit malfunction or damage.

    Ambient temperature:

The ambient temperature of the variable frequency drive refers to the temperature near the cross-section of the VFD. Since the VFD is mainly composed of high-power electronic equipment that is highly susceptible to temperature, the life and reliability of the VFD depends largely on the temperature, which is generally -10℃ to +40℃. In addition, need to consider the VFD's own heat dissipation and the possible extremes of the surrounding environment, for the temperature generally requires a certain amount of margin.

Is this VFD able to power a PMSM spindle with an encoder up to 800Hz?  There will be about 20' of cable between the spindle and the VFD when mounted to the gantry on my cnc. Thank you.

We need to confirm that this spindle motor has an encoder? Because if the motor has an encoder, it is not recommended to use our VFD. The capacity of the motor is 7.5HP (5.5KW), so if the motor does not contain an encoder, we recommend using a capacity of 10HP. SKU: GK3000-CS0075G.
How do I run the VFD with no load?
I recently purchased a 7.5 hp VFD from ATO website. But now I have a question that I would like to ask you to help me answer. How do I run the VFD with no load?

You can try to connect only the power supply of the VFD, Not the output terminal of the VFD.
Can you please send me a simple way to get to the control function?
I received this item. Can you please send me a simple way to get to the control function so I can access how to increase the speed of the motor. Just a simple procedure as to where to navigate in the menu so I can increase the speed of the motor.

    How to use VFD?
I need to power a single larger power load. Can I parallel these VFD's in order to do that?
    From: Hender | Date: 29/09/2021
Was this review helpful? Yes No (0/0)
    ATO Responded
No, you can not parallel these VFD's.
And it's just one drive for one motor. Also, we have wide ranges of 1-phase VFDs capacities.
    Frequency of the vfd
What is the Min & Max Frequency Rage for your frequency drives?
