Tips: Variable frequency drive service life extension methods

    1. Do not install the VFD on vibration device, because the main circuit connecting screws will be easy to loose and causing damage.
    2. Wiring problem: The VFD input is best to be connected to an air switch to control the current value and to prevent the occurrence of short circuit. The "N" end must not be grounded. Control line should not be too long. Because this makes the control board is easily disturbed by electromagnetic interference and occur malfunction, which will lead to control board damage. The control line more than 2 meters is best to use shielded wire. Do not install a large current and frequent operating contactor next to the VFD, because it has strong disturbance and often causing malfunction (show all kinds of faults).
    3. Frequent emergency stop VFD is best not to rely on the built-in brake device, but to install additional brake resistance or mechanical brake, or the VFD will often backlash impacted by the motor counter electromotive force, the failure rate will be greatly increased.
    4. If the VFD is often running at low speed below 15HZ, the motor should be attached to the cooling fan.
    5. Dust and moisture are the most deadly killers of the variable frequency drive. It is best to install the VFD in the air-conditioned room, or installed in the cabinet with strainer mesh, and to regularly clean the dust of circuit board and the heat sink. If a VFD is not in used for a long time, use a hair dryer to blow the circuit board before restarting.
