Can we buy only the brake section of this motor?
Is it possible to buy only the brake section of this motor?
We are considering building a second test bench here and are wondering if we can modify the earlier motor. We purchased last year that currently has no brake inst

Sorry for the late response.
Unfortunately, we do not provide the brakes separately, and you cannot install them yourself.
Because the motor shaft without a brake is different from the motor shaft with a brake.
Some questions about servo motor
Can I keep the brake powered up once the controller is powered up?
Is there a limit of time, how long I can keep the brake powered?

1. You can keep the brake powered up once the controller is powered up.
2. Keep the brake powered, there is no time limit.
Servo motor with the brake installed
I received the new motor with the brake installed.
I now need to integrate the brake into our test elevator controller.
I cannot locate any mechanical or electrical engineering details on the brake operation [e.g., max torque of the brake or current (Amps) required], so far, I have powered the brake with 24VDC, and it does release and allow the rotor to rotate.
Can the brake be continuously energized and only powered off when power is removed from the controller?

1. The brake torque is a little larger than the rated torque of the motor, and the maximum torque or required current of the brake is 2A.
2. The brake is only opened once when the machine is turned on, and it is closed when the machine is turned off. When the machine is not turned off, the brake is always on.
What technology (servo motor or IGBT) do you use for the /-1% accuracy ($2649 version) at 120V?

The technology is IGBT for use of the +/-1% accuracy version. It is a simple servo motor sliding contact type-other model.
