Tips: Characteristics of ATO isolation transformer at the AC power input

  1. If the third harmonic and interference signal of the Grid is severe, use isolation transformer to remove the third harmonic and reduce the interference signal.
  2. The use of isolation transformers can generate a new neutral line to avoid the abnormal operation of equipment caused by unfit neutral power line.
  3. The current waveform distortion(such as third harmonic) caused by nonlinear load can be isolated without affecting the Grid.

Solid isolation transformer, good package
I had to modify this transformer to use it for my purpose. I am using it as a safety device on my electronics service bench. It is a solid, well built unit.
