Existing reviews of 2 hp (1.5 kW) VFD, Single Phase Input & Output
We have purchased a VFD GK3000-1S0015G. I cannot get the Motor to spin. I have connected output power from VFD. I have set output current to10 amps. I cannot set the motor power parameter P8.01 more than 1000. P8.37=0 cannot change. I get an error E-01. I have set: P0.12=100. Torque boost seems to have no affect.

E-01 means the VFD is overloaded. Your single-phase motor is 2HP 1.5kW, rated current 9.6A, and the VFD you purchased is also 2HP, rated output current is only 9.6A. In this case, the VFD is easily overloaded. Generally, the capacity of the VFD is one level larger than the motor capacity. We recommend that you change to a 3HP capacity, SKU: GK3000-1S0022, see spec and price on: https://www.ato.com/3hp-vfd-single-phase-input-output.
Since we are not going to run the fan with full speed power (actually it will only use about 50%), we chose this VFD. Also, the input power supply that I provide is single-phase 220VAC, and we exactly connected the wires as the attached diagram. Also, we could not see any errors when the VFD is running since when we give the power, the lcd panel shows up for few seconds and then fuse blows.

1. Your fan is a single-phase motor. It is not recommended to run a single-phase motor at low speed. The speed should be kept above 35% of the rated speed. If the speed is too low, the motor can easily overheat and burn out.
2. Where did the fuse you mentioned burnt out? Please provide us with pictures or videos for further confirmation. You can send us the large video file via wetransfer.com.
I am having issues programming the GK3000 VFD. I am wiring a 240Vac 60hz, 1PH fan motor and I keep getting alarms E-01 and occasionally E-03. What can I adjust to get the frequency drive working?

The VFD appears to be undercapacity and overloaded. You can extend the acceleration and deceleration time, modify the following parameters, and test again:
P0.12=10 or 12 (Acceleration time; you may change the time)
P0.13=10 or 12 (Deceleration time; you may change the time)
PA.01=5 (motor overload protection gain)
PA,02=100% (motor overload protection coefficient)
If you still have problems, please send us a picture of the nameplate of the VFD and fan for further confirmation. Maybe you need to replace it with a larger VFD.
Hello,
We are in need of assistance setting up a VFD.
Sequence will be, VFD receives start stop signal and drives to constant speed, no modulating. Need N/O status contacts. Also would like to have dry contact for enabling a relay for a damper.
1) Where do we wire start/stop and how is it programmed?
2) Where do we wire dry contact status? Needs to be N/O and close when fan starts.
3) We would like to have a contact closure to control a damper actuator. Can this be accomplished with Ta, Tb and Tc contacts? When fan starts a contact would close.

1. You can use the three-wire control mode of our VFD (Note: this method only applies to 3-phase motors).
Please refer to the video link for connection and settings: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nBUm4i9wnzY
As demonstrated in the video, to achieve the switch control function of starting and stopping the VFD that you need, you need to perform the following program settings:
1).Set P0.03 = 1, terminal control mode
2).Set P4.02 = 9, enable terminal X3 as 3-wire control
3).Set P4.08 = 2, select 3-wire control mode 1
Please refer to the wiring diagram of manual P115 in the attachment. Unnecessary control wires do Not need to be connected.
2. Regarding the relay output, please refer to P32 and P116~P117 of the manual in the attachment.
You can connect TA and TB to get N/O output, and set P4.12 = 0 (flip when inverter is in RUN state)
The VFD's relay output can also be configured to flip under other circumstances, please see manual P116~P117.
I want to use this VFD to change frequency of pumps, the nominal current for pumps (two models) are, 6.1 and 8.3 Amps. Which models should I choose?
The pumps rated at 1.1

You can use the 1.5kW VFD on this page, or go to the 2kW VFD page to purchase.
Is there a box available for connecting?
When installing the VFDs today the electrician said there needs to be a junction box on the VFD where they can connect the conduit for the wires or the VFDs will need to be installed in a cabinet. Is there a box available for connecting conduit that can attach to the VFD or will they need to be installed in a cabinet?

Our VFD is usually installed in a cabinet with good ventilation and heat dissipation. Unfortunately, we do not provide the corresponding junction box. You need to configure the junction box or cabinet yourself.

Please describe your problem carefully.
If it is a single-phase motor, we do not recommend removing the capacitor, nor do we recommend that the single-phase motor run at low speed for a long time.
Hi,
I was wondering if I can use this VFD to drive my drill press 750w permanent split capacitor motor.
I have no idea about how I should connect the motor, my main concern is to control the speed of the motor with keeping the torque. Also, I was wondering if it is possible to control the rotation of the motor and adding external switches and potentiometers. Thank you

Single-phase VFDs have a small starting torque when controlling single-phase motors. If you want constant torque or high torque starting and speed regulation operation, ATO suggests you replace your single-phase (split-phase) motor with a three-phase motor. Also, the current and power rating of the VFD must be greater than or equal to the current and power rating of the motor.
good morning, I have a 220v 2hp 1440rpm single-phase motor to which I want to install a frequency inverter to control the speed, this inverter; GK3000-1S0015, would it work for me?
Thank you and I await your comments

To confirm whether VFD can drive your motor, you need to know: VFD power is greater than or equal to motor power, and VFD current is greater than or equal to motor current. For the speed regulation of single-phase motor, we recommend that the running speed of the motor is greater than 80% of the rated speed.

If the pressure switch on the compressor is normally closed (NC) , then this pressure switch cannot be used directly. Could you please tell us how you want to control the start and stop of the VFD through this pressure switch, and what is the process?
Which terminal of VFD will send the signal VFD fault feedback to our PLC?
For the GK3000 series, which terminal of VFD will send the signal VFD fault feedback to our PLC? any? So we can disconnect the circuit to VFD, and show the alarm indicator on the our HMI Display

The TA TB terminal of VFD can feed back the fault signal of VFD to PLC.
I have a Goulds 13GS10412CL submersible pump and I see that it is compatible with variable speed controller. It is 1.0 HP 60 Hz FLA 8.1 SFA 9.4 single phase. What do you recommend as far as VFD to make it constant pressure supply? I would like to use a psi transducer also.

How do I set the controller to reverse?
How can I control the direction of the motor with the control panel rather than installing some switches to the com port? The controller shows a jog/rev button, but it seems to only jog the motor.

The single-phase VFD cannot control the reverse rotation of the motor. Please refer to the motor nameplate for reverse wiring.
Can you provide a wire diagram for this application?
I'm installing this VFD on my well pump and using it as a soft start to reduce the impact to my batteries on my solar system. When I wire it in do I still use my Franklin Electric control box with the capacitor or does that get replaced with he VFD? I have a 3 wire 1/2 hp pump, can you provide a wire diagram for this application?

1. The single-phase motor can be connected to the VFD without removing the capacitor. The two wires of the motor are directly connected to any two of the U, V, and W terminals of the VFD.
2. If you want to use VFD for constant pressure water supply, you could refer to our video. Please see on <[5UQ[BL(6~BS2JV6W}N6[%S.png>https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKR4tX4x0qQ&list=PLlo8RulDRnthBFbP4ydheukDSKw2hAfDn&index=5

It can be delivered within 5 to 6 days because it needs to be well tested before shipment.
This 2hp single phase VFD was bought for my belt grinders. This product is sealed up so that no dust gets inside, which makes it suitable for rugged environment. It's easy to install and no programming requirements. What's more, this unit works well, provides good soft start, and realizes variable speed control. High quality and recommend.
