Tips: How to judge the positive and negative electrodes of SMD aluminum electrolytic capacitor?
The positive and negative poles of the SMD aluminum electrolytic capacitor are distinguished and measured, and the black block with the mark on the capacitor is the negative pole. There are two semi-circles on the capacitor position on the PCB. The colored semi-circle corresponds to the negative electrode, or the length of the pin is used to distinguish the positive and negative electrodes. The long leg is positive and the short leg is negative.
When you don't know the positive and negative poles of the capacitor, you can use a multimeter to measure it. The medium between the two poles of the capacitor is not an absolute insulator, and its resistance is not infinite, but a finite value, generally above 1000 megohms.
