Existing reviews of 20 hp VFD, Single Phase to Three Phase VFD
I'm using this to adjust the speed of my farm machine, but I only know the basics and I'm having trouble trying to get it to work in closed loop. The main issue is that with P7.00=1 the pump starts and then very quickly goes to the maximum pressure it can achieve (0,37Mpa), then after time laps P7.35 the pump goes to 0Hz, and it never starts again. Even when the pressure in the pipe network goes below 0.2Mpa, it does not wake up. The b-15 reading seems to be the correct actual pressure, but the b-14 value is always the same as b-15. That is strange because it should never change, of course. When checking: The setting of P7.05 is still 0.3Mpa, while b-14 reads something like 0.2Mpa. My thoughts so far are going to put all parameters on factory default, by using P3.01=10, and then configure again. But I'd like to get technical help first, because there might be a simple solution. Another question: When the electrical power is interrupted, will the VFD then auto-start in closed loop again? If not, how can I prevent that every time the grid power goes off, I have to manually restart the VFD?

1.You can set P7.01=0 (P7.05 digital setting), P7.21/ P7.23 sleep frequency time can be set to 5~10s, 1s is too short. In addition, P7.27 corresponds to your pressure sensor range (converted to MPa unit).
2.After correcting the above parameters, you can check like this: The pump starts when P7.00=1. When sleep pressure is reached the pump goes to 0Hz. Please check the feedback pressure b-15, what is the pressure displayed? According to your setting, the recovery pressure is P7.19=0.25. When the pressure of the pipeline drops below 0.25Mpa (by checking the b-15 pressure) the pump should restart. Alternatively, you can unplug the pressure sensor wiring so there is no pressure feedback. Please check whether the VFD can automatically start and run the pump at this time.
3.If you still fail to test according to the above method, you can set P3.01=10 to restore factory parameters, reset the parameters, and test again.
Is there a way to program and delay in the VFD?
The VFD we purchased from you in April last year we are just now installing and attempting to run a 15HP rotary air compressor.
See attached specs on Air Compressor. The shore power or generator power supply is 220V single phase and we purchased the VFD to convert that [power to 208V 3 phase power for the air compressor.
The air compressor manufacturer is telling us they need 42 amps to run the compressor but 80 amps at start-up.
Is there a way to program and “delay” in the VFD to give it 5-10 seconds to start air compressor?
That is what the compressor people are telling me.
Also, this VFD only registers 50hz. It’s supposed to be 60hz correct?
Please advise.

The VFD you purchased, has an output rated current of 66A. It can drive your three phase 42 amps, 15HP compressor, No problem.
But please note: your compressor wiring method should be connected to the output terminals U, V, W of the VFD according to the low voltage 208-230V wiring method.
Yes, VFD can start the air compressor with a delay of 5-10 seconds by setting parameters. We recommend setting the delay time between 10-15 seconds and setting P0.17=P0.18=13s.

Our VFD can only be used to drive motors and can Not be used to provide power to machines.
How to password-protect the configuration in the two VFDs?
I am now looking for how to password-protect the configuration in the two VFDs.
It looks like P9.14 is where the password for the configuration is configured.
Is this correct?
Also, is there a setting that will disable the potentiometer on the display panel?
We want the running frequency to be locked to 60 hertz always.
I am assuming that I can set P0.01 to anything other than 0 or 1 to accomplish this, but I am not sure.

1. Yes, parameter P9.14 is where the password is configured, and the keyboard is locked after the password is set.
2. Regarding the running frequency to be locked to 60 hertz. Please set parameters P0.01=2, P0.02=60, P0.19=60, P0.20=0
Which parameter should I change to work?
Hello, I have a 20 hp 15 kW VFD, 66A 220V single phase to three phase. So my network is 220 biphasic, which parameter should I change to work?

Please refer to the attached setup manual. Please contact us if further questions.
I would like to ask a question about a single phase to three phase VFD.
When sizing a single phase to three phase vfd, do I have to double the size per load? For example, I want to power a 3-phase 5hp motor on a table saw. Do I need a vfd rated at 10hp?

No, you don't have to double the VFD size.
For a 5hp motor, it will suffice to go with a 7.5hp drive. If you need from us to size the drive, please inform us about motor rated current and voltage.

Questions about 20 hp VFD
I have received the 20 hpVFD and braking resistor. I have some more questions. With a 10 HP motor, using single phase input to the VFD, do you recommend using a power filter on the input and output of the VFD? The input power comes from a sub-panel connected to the main panel in my house, and I am concerned about line noise interfering with electronics.

We recommend that you can use the VFD to run your 10HP motor and see if they will interfere with your electronic devices. When testing, the motor and the frequency converter should be connected to the ground.
