The bilge is the lowest compartment on a ship that holds water due to leaks, rainwater, or other sources. ATO electric bilge pumps are critical to maintaining the safety and buoyancy of your vessel by preventing it from taking in too much water.

    Features

    • Bilge pump adopts special materials for waterproof sealing, super insulation, and high safety in use.
    • The small bilge pump is driven by a permanent magnet motor, which has a small size and ultra-low noise.
    • Electric bilge pump uses 12V/24V DC regulated power supply, which is efficient and energy-saving. Intermittent operation is more conducive to extending the service life of the pump.
    • It comes with a grid filter that automatically filters larger objects, protects the normal operation of the pump, and extends the service life of the pump.
    • It can extract finer particles, less oil and other impurities.
    • Stainless steel pump shaft and thermoplastic pump body are durable and non-corrosive, and can be used in both fresh water and sea water.
    • The filter device is easy to install and remove, ensuring the bilge pump can run freely without vibration.

Tips: Where Should Bilge Pump be Installed on the Ship?

At least one bilge pump is installed at the lowest part of the ship. Larger ships should have one in each enclosed compartment, and the outfall must be at least 20 cm above the waterline. All bilge pumps should be located in a convenient position for personnel to check the condition of the pump and its float switch, and to remove debris drawn around the pump. If the bilge pump is located in an inaccessible or inaccessible location, such as under the ship's stern engine, consider relocating the electric bilge pump.
