Tips: Harmonic Reducer vs. RV Reducer
The harmonic reducer is used for industrial robots with small loads or the last few axes of large robots. Harmonic reducer is a kind of harmonic transmission device, which includes a harmonic accelerator and harmonic reducer. Harmonic reducers mainly include rigid wheels, flexible wheels, bearings and wave generators. Among them, the number of teeth of the rigid spline is slightly larger than that of the flexible spline. The harmonic reducer is used in small robots because of its small size, lightweight, large carrying capacity, high motion accuracy, and large single-stage transmission ratio.
The RV reducer is used for the three joints of the leg, waist and elbow of the robot with a large torque, and the three axes of the industrial robot with a large load use RV. Compared with the harmonic reducer, the key of the RV reducer lies in the processing technology and assembly process. RV reducer has higher fatigue strength, rigidity and life.
