Harmonic drive applications

Tips: Harmonic Drive Gearbox Troubleshooting

  • During use, the vibration of the harmonic drive gearbox increases, and the noise increases. The main reason is that the components inside the case are too worn or damaged.
  • The gear tooth surface is worn, the gear shaft hole or keyway is worn; the screw hole at the bearing hole is worn; the shaft surface is worn. The precision of parts can be restored by electroplating.

In order to ensure the service life of the hard tooth surface harmonic reducer, it is necessary to strictly select the type, ensure its safety factor, and operate in strict accordance with the instructions, so as to prolong the service life of the harmonic reducer.

What are the lead times for drive gearbox?
Thank you for your reply. The custom specs are TBD . But let's say for example, I would want the specs of the 138mm harmonic gearbox with 50 gear ratio but with maximum allowable average load torque to be in the 120~130 nm range in a 70~80mm outer diameter gearbox. Is this something that is possible?
If so, what are generally the lead times for these orders? Thank you!

ATO Responded
Unfortunately, we do not provide such specifications. If the maximum allowable average load torque of the gearbox is required to reach 120~130nm, the outer diameter of the gearbox can only be 138mm or 142mm, not 70-80mm.
