What terminals I need to hook into for a start/stop switch on this drive?
Hello, I'm wondering what terminals I need to hook into for a start/stop switch on this drive. I watched the YouTube video but I don't have that 3 position switch. All I have is a start/stop button or an on/off switch. Thanks

Please short-circuit terminals 7 and 10 of the soft starter to lead out a wire, short-circuit terminals 8 and 9 to lead out a wire, and connect these two wires to your switch or button.
When these two wires are closed, the machine will start, and when these two wires are disconnected, the machine will stop.
I just installed this soft starter. One thing I found weird as well (which sucks) is I ran power through the by pass contacts (1

1. The bypass contact (1&2) of the soft starter is used to control the coil of the bypass contactor. The rated capacity of the bypass contact (1&2) is only 250V/5A. The coil voltage of the bypass contactor is also required to be lower than 250V.
2. Suppose your grid voltage is three-phase 380V, and the bypass contactor coil is 220V, then the voltage of one live wire and one natural wire in the grid (L+N=220V). You can connect a live wire L in the grid to a terminal A1 of the contactor coil through the bypass contact (1&2), and connect the other end A2 of the contactor coil to the natural wire N.
3. If the soft starter has burned out, you need to buy another new one, please refer to the link: https://www.ato.com/softstarter
Could you please provide your motor nameplate to us for further confirmation?

Yes, sure. This soft starter remote control can be done via (wires + switch), therefore, you can use 120V to control a relay, and then control the start and stop of the soft starter through the contact switch of the relay. It is a very simple control method.
Good product, meets my need
This 15A soft starter is applied to my 25A motor. I can handle the unit with no trouble. All the parameters are set on the panel by knob potentiometers and dial switch, that is intuitive and accurate. I feel my motor works really much better than before.
